Dr. HARISH KUMAR SHARMA, a Professor of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology (SLIET) (Deemed University) (Established by Ministry of HRD, Government of India), is involved in teaching, research and administration. Professor Sharma has published 139 papers in peer reviewed journals and a total of more than 180 papers in National/International Journals/ Proceedings. He has supervised 12Ph.Ds and 37 M.Tech students for their theses and authored/edited eight books and two manuals, which are published by the reputed national and International publishing houses. He has 1520 citations with an i-10 index of 43 and h-index of 20 (Google scholar). He contributed twenty three chapters in the books, published from the National and international publishers and represented the country in different countries, ISRAEL, Canada, China, Switzerland, Thailand, Germany, France, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia etc. in different programs. He has successfully handled number of projects, worth rupees more than a crore from the government agencies and industry in the capacity of PI and Co-PI. He has successfully transferred a technology on the commercial scale. He has filed a patent and possesses two copyrights and assisted to number of industries. Dr. Sharma is a member/life member to various associations and served in different capacity in the different state and national committees as resource person/expert. He has also served referee and editorial board member to different national and international journals. Research and academic excellence has earned him several accolades at the National and International level, which include Fellow to Institution of Engineers, SGSITS National Award for the best teacher (below thirty five years of age) from ISTE, Vigyan Ratna Samman from UP Government, Professor Jiwan Singh Sidhu Award for excellence in Teaching from AFST(I), Outstanding book award from ISAE, Young Scientist awards from UP Government.
Prof. K. M. Deb
Professor & Koenig Endowed Chair, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Michigan State University, USA
Kalyanmoy Deb is Koenig Endowed Chair Professor at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Michigan State University, USA. Born in Udaipur, Tripura, he passed his higher secondary school from Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan in 1980 and went on to receive his BTech degree from IIT Kharagpur. Prof. Deb's research interests are in evolutionary optimization and their application in multi-criterion optimization, modeling, and machine learning. He was awarded IEEE Evolutionary Computation Pioneer Award for his sustained work in EMO, Infosys Prize, TWAS Prize in Engineering Sciences, CajAstur Mamdani Prize, Distinguished Alumni Award from IIT Kharagpur, Edgeworth-Pareto award, Bhatnagar Prize in Engineering Sciences, and Bessel Research award from Germany. He is fellow of IEEE, ASME, and three Indian science and engineering academies. He has published over 545 research papers with Google Scholar citation of over 145,000 with h-index 121. Prof. Tokunbo Ogunfunmi
Santa Clara University, USA
Tokunbo Ogunfunmi is Professor of Electrical Engineering and the Director of the Signal Processing Research Lab (SPRL) in the School of Engineering at Santa Clara University (SCU), Santa Clara, CA. His current research interests include digital signal processing, multimedia (speech, video) and machine learning/artificial neural networks. He has published 4 books and over 160 refereed journal and conference papers in these and related areas. Dr. Ogunfunmi has been a consultant to industry and government, and a visiting professor at the University of Texas and Stanford University. In 2015, he was awarded the prestigious Carnegie Foundation Visiting Professorship. His industrial experience include consulting for companies such as Broadcom, AMD, NEC, AT&T Bell Labs. and NIKON Precision Research & Development. He is also a registered professional engineer in the State of California. He served as an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer for the Circuits and Systems Society from 2011-2013. He also served as a Senior Associate Editor for the IEEE Signal Processing Letters and an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I and II. He has also served the IEEE as Chair of the Circuits and Systems (CAS) Society Technical Committees on CAS for Communications and CAS for Education and Outreach.
